This past weekend, “The Unit” went to the Louis Vuitton exhibit. It was a fun time and we enjoyed it! The exhibit is in NYC until January 7th, so hurry up and get your tickets. Its Free fyi! My favorite part was watching how the bags get made. They let AnnDrew get a close up and hold some of the handles. We got to see the evolution of Louis Vuitton bag, which was pretty cool. At the end, you will get a cute gift – a Pintrill x Louis Vuitton lapel pin.

The global journey of “Voguez, Volez, Voyagez – Louis Vuitton” continues with its arrival in New York, where the former American Stock Exchange will provide a grand backdrop for this immersive exhibition. Curator, Olivier Saillard once again leads visitors through the history of the House as a thematic journey brought to life by Robert Carsen’s dynamic scenography.

With this latest installment the longstanding presence of Louis Vuitton in America is sure to resonate, from George Vuitton’s participation in the 1893 Chicago World Fair, to archival items that belonged to such illustrious clientele as Ernest Hemingway, Lauren Bacall, F. Scott Fitzgerald, as well as the Rockefeller and Vanderbilt families. Displays of collaborations with artists Stephen Sprouse and now Jeff Koons will allow visitors to see the House codes interpreted with a vibrant and distinctly local influence. There will also be a section dedicated to the artisans’ workshops, highlighting how savoir-faire has driven the story of Louis Vuitton all along.
