OUTFIT DEETS (Dress, Sandals and Bag):

My sandals were so cute! I received a lot of compliments on them throughout the day 😉

Yesterday we went to PINKNIC! Some of you are like “What the heck is that?” Well Pinknic is a giant Rose’ picnic and music festival. It takes place on the weekend and is two days full of food, music and Rose flowinggg! Bottles were really on deck! We were supposed to go on Saturday but it was cancelled due to the rain flooding the grounds. Oh and MAN people were PISSED! People purchased tickets for this months ago and got plane tickets, new outfits, hotel arrangements, etc. So when Saturday was cancelled, they took a sharp turn into Nastyville and were cussing the organizers out on their FB event page. It wasn’t a problem for us, so Sunday it was. Sunday is more of a picnic and brunch type of day anyway.

Governors Island was transformed into a sea of pink and we had the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline as our backdrop. There were vendors, pools, bottles, dancers, ice cream, live performances and more.  Some of the food vendors were Vandal, Beauty & Essex, Staton Social and more. There were live performances by Lost Frequencies, Classixx, Penguin Prison, Purple Disco Machine, Tortured Soul, C.M.A., and Willy Monfret.  I’m not even going to front. I had no clue who these artists were but they sounded nice lol.

There was a Ferris Wheel, a pool with mermaids and FROSE (frozen rose)! HELLO FROZEN ROSE! When we checked in, they gave us a pink picnic blanket and we headed over to the lawn to pick a spot. People brought picnic baskets full of snacks and games and kicked their shoes off and just enjoyed the day.  It really was a cute event. I went with Drew’s sister, Vanessa, and their cousin Faatima. No AnnDrew by the way lol Mama was off for the day.

Listen….that sun was blazing Hip Hop & RnB! If we didn’t get those umbrellas, we would’ve melted! They helped out a lot and also added an extra cute element to our pics. Here are some pictures from the event and my outfit deets are at the end.

When we left the festival, we headed over to one of my favorite ice cream spots in NYC – Taiyaki. This is a Japanese Ice cream shop in the Chinatown/ Little Italy area. Vanessa got her first Unicorn cone and I got “Straight Outta Japan”. If you visit NYC, you have to make sure you stop there. I definitely recommend the Unicorn cone (thats my fav).

See!! Wasn’t it so cute? I was sipping all day so this morning I woke up like NO and AnnDrew woke up like YESSSSS! She was like Nah ma, you had all day yesterday, get ya ass up LOL!!

Oh, this event looks like so much fun. You gave me inspiration for an all white party scheduled next month. The dress and sandals are perfect as I want to be relaxed and comfortable.
