Let’s get into some of the hottest shoe trends for Summer 2022! Summer is on its way, so why not get started with shoe shopping now. Here is a list of cute summer shoe trends that are out on the market right now.
Will espadrilles ever go out of style? Probably not. They are classics, they look great on everyone and are a perfect cute summer shoe. Espadrilles come in different shapes, fits and sizes. Some come in a more narrow fit while some are more wide. Regardless of your foot’s shape and size, you can find a pair of espadrilles this summer. Here are a few pairs of espadrilles that can be worn with maxi dresses, linen sets and crisp white button up shirts. Included below are a few wider espadrille options as well.
Platforms are in, ok! Who remembers the iconic black platform sandal from the 90’s? I know you all remember wearing them, and how much of a vibe they were. Well, platforms are back, they are here to stay and are a cute summer shoe option. They come in all different styles, some with heel heights as high as the Versace Satin Platform Pump or as low as the Gucci platform slide sandal. Whatever your vibe may be, platforms are a fun trend to try out this summer.
Here are a variety of fun platform shoes to try this season:
Thong sandals are not for everyone but if you enjoy wearing them, here is a pair by Jefferey Campbell for $100. The platform heel is unique and this sandal can be worn with denim shorts and a white cotton shirt or dressed up with a satin slip dress, for date night with a pop of color bag!
The Marlie Platform Sandal by Sam Edelman is unique – from its color to its block heel. Pair this heel with an all white look or with a fun bodycon dress. This heel is fun and vibrant and can add a different edge to your summer style if you are new to wearing vibrant colored heels.
A fresh pair of Air Force 1’s are a must for the summer! They are universal wardrobe staples! The Nike Air Force 1 Shadows now come in a platform style, which gives it a modern edge. They are unique and slightly different from the classic pair of Air Force 1’s. This platform is more than a sneaker. It will look great paired with a tank top bodysuit and wide leg slacks, or a pair of jean shorts and a blazer. Since we are talking platforms, if you are looking for a basic white sneaker for the season try the Air Force 1 Shadows.
Platform heels have gone viral lately, starting with the Versace Satin Platform Pump. I have a comparable platform pump option for you. Now, this platform pump has an open toe and its heel height is not quite as high as the Versace pump. These heels have a similar vibe but are less exaggerated. Green is still a trending color, so check out the Pop of Color blog post for green outfit inspiration that can pair well with the Nix platform heeled sandals in green. The fact that this heel is green makes them even more trendy and fun!
Mules are the perfect cute summer shoe between a slide and a “kitten heel”. They are comfortable and another universal style that works for everyone. Here are a few stylish options to shop from if you are looking for a pair of mules to add to your shoe collection.
Yellow is a happy color, and can be used as a “pop of color” with a neutral look. There are many shades of yellow out there but this specific shade would be great for a summer wedding or for a vacation outfit if you are looking for a color that will make you stand out this season.
Terry cloth material seems to be circulating in the fashion streets these days, along with the color orange. These heels are similar to the Bottega Veneta terry cloth heels, but with a lower heel. Pair these with a monochromatic look this summer with an edgy pair of shades for a ready-to-wear look.
Slide sandals will never go out of style. They are a great basic cute summer shoe to have every summer. These sandals are quick and easy to style and great for on the go shoes. There are many different styles of slide sandals, and it is all about what type of sole or material you are looking for in a sandal. A black pair of sandals is a great way to start your slide sandals collection. Black sandals are staples and will work well with any outfit that you put together.
Marc Fisher shoes are very comfortable and since the heels are fairly flat they are very comfortable with its soft leather cushion for heel support. Its woven leather strap detail is super cute, and will go well with a lot of different outfits for the summer. Lastly, you can never go wrong with a classic black sandal, they match everything.
Neutral Colored Sandals:
A neutral pair of sandals should definitely be on your radar this season. Neutral colored sandals match every outfit that you own whether casual or dressy. The knotted detailing on top of these sandals adds a playful accessorized touch to a look. This sandal comes in 7 different color options.
Neutral colored sandals are great but there is nothing wrong with a little razzle dazzle. Zara always comes through with fun embellishments on their “outgoing” shoes! These are the cutest sandals to jazz up a late night vacation look.
Lace Up heels:
Last but certainly not least, lace up heels. For the most part, lace up heels are supportive because they are wrapped up the leg while giving an edgy look that can complete a look with a simple slip dress.
This heel can work for multiple occasions this summer, because of its color and heel height. From attending weddings to rooftop cocktail happy hours, they work. The straps add extra detail to the overall heel, it’s almost like an added accessory.
Here is a strappy heel with a realistic heel height. This is the heel for those who do not prefer to wear 5 inch stilettos but still like an elevated heel. Its leather sole and 3 inch heels makes them more comfortable and easier to walk in. I forgot to mention they are a quality heel for under $150!
