I recently formed a partnership with Coach and I am loving all of their new pieces! Coach has been a classic for as long as I can remember. I can remember my first bag and I was so hype. I also loved the leather belt and I always had to have the little leather brand tag hanging from the middle lol.

Decades after his death, Jean-Michel Basquiat’s presence continues to loom so large in the fashion and art worlds that it’s almost as if his imagery has taken on an entirely different life of its own.

The collection first appeared on the runway during A/W 2020. This exclusive capsule includes a wide array of bold bags, Ready to Wear pieces, and accessories featuring the late artist’s iconic artwork and phrases. Basquiat left a significant impact on art, fashion and music and his influence lives on.

“Basquiat is one of my heroes,” Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers said in a statement. “”He embodied the creative, inclusive spirit of New York and was a force for change in his community. I am proud to celebrate his work and values and help bring them to a new generation.”

Coach worked directly with Basquiat’s family on the project. “We really love this collection,” said Jeanine Basquiat, Basquiat’s sister, on behalf of the artist’s family. Basquiat’s niece, Jessica Kelly, also starred in the campaign. “They did a great job in capturing the spirit and energy of Jean-Michel’s work and putting together a perfect group of creative talent to bring this to life.”

Check out the two pieces I have from the collection. The Coach X Jean-Michel Basquiat Sweatshirt and the Coach X Jean-Michel Basquiat Beat Shoulder Bag 18.

Wow! That’s a nice clutch! Loved it! But looks heavy. Is it?
