Last year, covid ruined all of my birthday plans! This year, I wasn’t having it lol. We decided to take a family vacation to the Virgin Islands to celebrate. It’s so crazy because last time we went to the Virgin Islands, Annie was the same age as her sister is now. The Virgin Islands were both of the girls first vacations at the same age 😉
We chose to stay in St John this time because we never stayed on that island and we wanted to experience it. I truly enjoyed it because it’s very calm and relaxing and just like the others – the water is beautiful!
We visited Trunk Bay, Maho Beach, Lovango Island and other beaches/islands (including the infamous Epstein’s island). If you are looking to get some good food suggestions – I would recommend getting some BBQ at Uncle Joe’s, Shaibu’s Garden Oasis and the Lovango Cay restaurant. Those were my favorites while on the island! We got some recommendations of other must try restaurants that we didn’t get a chance to visit – Morgans Mango, Hillside Terrace, Lime Out.
Now for these looks! If you know me, you know I am a swimsuit collector and I have bins and bins of swimwear. I loved the swimwear that I brought with us for my birthday. Below are the links.

A lot of people asked me for some travel tips for traveling with two small kids. Here are the main things that work for us:
- If you are fortunate enough to have a mom that can help out, I would suggest to bring her. My mom comes with us on trips and helps us out tremendously. She stayed in the room with the kids while we went out on the town, which was great. It’s always awesome to have someone around that can step in and help to give you a quick break.
- If you have a toddler, download some of their favorite movies on an iPad/tablet. I download about 15 of Annie’s favorite movies and shows and had that iPad charged up and ready to go. I also brought some Bluetooth headphones, so she can watch without disturbing anyone on the plane. I put some workbooks, coloring books and crayons in her backpack as well.
- If you are traveling with an infant, make sure you bring some sort of shading for the beach. There are a lot of beaches that don’t offer umbrellas and the baby will just be hot! You can order cute ones off of amazon. Here is one that I love.
If you decide to go to the Virgin Islands, I hope you enjoy your time! Enjoy some of our vacation pics below!!

hey, what kind of stroller do you bring on your trips with the baby ?

Hi! We didn’t bring a stroller on this trip. I only brought the baby carrier. There are a few strollers you can look into that fold up and fit into the overhead compartment of the plane.
GB Qbit LTE is the one we had for Annie and it fits in the overhead compartment on the plane. I don’t think my baby is big enough for that one just yet. The Doona is a good one to look into for a small baby.
Do you plan on traveling with a small baby soon?
Awesome thank you ! & yes my baby will be 6 months when we travel.

Oh ok, well definitely check out the GB one. When Annie was almost 6 months, we traveled with that one for her and it worked out great. Enjoy your trip!
