This past weekend, we hopped on the train and went to D.C. for a couple of days.  We stayed with my Sorority sister (I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc), Janise. I must say, traveling on the train was easy peasy. I had our overnight bag, AnnDrew’s car seat, her Baby Bjorn baby carrier and my purse.  I knew we were going to be doing a lot of walking around and moving so I decided to use the baby carrier and only put the must haves for AnnDrew in my purse versus carrying a baby bag around. I got a lot of questions from moms asking which carrier I use and if I like it.  I love it! You can check it out and order it here. Traveling on the train with a baby was nice.  The seats are comfortable and we sat in the handicap section so we had a lot of space to stretch out.  The Red Caps helped us with all of our belongings so we didn’t have to worry about that and they let us board the train first. I breast fed AnnDrew and then she was milk drunk and relaxed lol until she woke up and was squealing the whole train ride haha. I would definitely recommend traveling by train.

On to the weekend….We ate good all weekend.  We ate at RPM Italian (DE-FREAKIN-LICIOUS), Busboys and Poets (those sweet potato pancakes OMGGGAAHHH), Farmers Fishers Bakers (HELLO! All around good) and Acadiana (This place was just OK to me). If you didn’t know, now ya know.. I loves me a good restaurant! We spent some time in Georgetown, went to the African American Museum, met up with some friends and just hung out. The highlight of our trip, besides spending time with Janise, was the museum.  The museum is designed so beautifully and every detail is so intricate. There is such a long wait list to visit the museum, so we were lucky to get in when we did.

Below are some pics from our weekend…

I wore these Adidas while traveling and they are very comfy.  I have these in gray.
