If someone tells me they know how to multitask well, I will only believe them if they have kids. Ever since I had AnnDrew, I have become a multitasking ninja.  I have mastered the art of eating full meals in 5 minutes.  I am the queen of the 4.5 minute shower. I have also learned to successfully turn anything into a song and dance.

Being a mom is truly a 24/7 job. You know the commercial where the mom asks the kid for a sick day? Well, I try that all the time and AnnDrew is like, “Nah mom”.

Typically, when I have particular appointments, AnnDrew will stay home with her dad. Today our appointment times conflicted, so she was with me today.  We went to Target, the post office, got gas, rite aid and then I had to get my lashes done.  I was dreadingggg her coming with me to get my lashes done because I thought it was going to go all the way wrong. I started off my appointment by laying on my side and nursing her!! I figured if she was nursing, she would be still and I could get them done quicker. AnnDrew is very nosey lol!! She ate for about 11 minutes then started swatting my nursing cover away trying to get up lol. Keep in mind, I couldn’t open my eyes to see what was happening.  I was panicking inside but keeping it cool on the outside.  The girl that does my lashes kept calling me a “GLAM MOM”, so I had to live up to my name 😉   I picked her up and sat her on my lap. She loves to see whats going on at all times so she was fine once I sat her up.  Phew! Finished my lashes without having to break a sweat!

Moms really have to be flexible and patient. Things usually don’t go as planned with a baby, so I always expect the unexpected.

I am so in your shoes and our babies were born in the same month, almost the same age. It’s a breath of fresh air knowing I’m not the only on taking 5 min showers and eating meals with the other 5. Please keep the blog going, it reassures me that this is the reality of a new mom and I’m not losing my mind. Lol
