Just got back from my birthday vacation/family trip! We woke up, looked out the window and didn’t see our beach view. I opened my eyes and looked around like ughhh WTF, back to reality! My birthday was this past Monday and we spent it in Anguilla, St. Barths and St. Maarten. To say the trip was amazing would be an understatement! Sunday and Monday we were in Anguilla, Tuesday in St. Barths, Wednesday in St. Maarten and Thursday in Anguilla. The weather all week was perfect (hot as hell but perfect lol).  AnnDrew had the time of her life!!  This girl was NOT taking naps.  She was like y’all think y’all gonna have fun without me, no way lol! The second she got near the water, her feet started kicking. It was hilarious because she was cracking up and having so much fun. She is definitely a trooper. She comes everywhere with us and she just smiles the entire time. We truly enjoyed our trip and would visit again.

Sidebar: You will notice a lot of white stuff on AnnDrew’s face in the beach/pool pics lol I always OD on the sunscreen. Can’t have my baby getting burnt. At the beginning and end of the post, I added links to the sunscreen and bug repellant we use on the baby.  They all work great and are natural.

ANGUILLA:

We stayed at Zemi Beach House while in Anguilla. I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone traveling there. We were told it was built about a year and a half ago so is fairly new. Everything was top notch and the staff was great. This hotel is definitely more laid back and everyone there was there to just chill. We sat out on the beach and by the pool sipping on Pina Coladas and blasting music and it was the ish. Our room had the coolest tub.  I love a soaker tub, so it was right up my alley. The staff cleaned our room about 3 times a day and left us with fresh cookies. Just writing about it is making me want to go back and get more! We were able to go get some local food and I was so happy about it. Whenever we travel to different islands, we love to leave the tourist part of town and go see the real deal. Below are some of our pics from Anguilla.

Let me not forget to mention, I tore myself up! Not sure what I was doing but I banged my head into the beach umbrella and it left me with a nice scar on my forehead for the entire trip LOL. Who does that?! Me, thats who smh. I had a bad case of the clumsies the entire time.

ST. BARTHS:

We chartered a plane to go to St. Barths and the ride was about 15-20 minutes. St. Barths is gorgeous and so damn fancy! My type of place! Our taxi driver told us there are no homeless people on the island since everyone owns a home and/or land. Crime is rare on the island. So rare, they don’t even have a prison there.  He took us on a tour of the island and showed us where he lived, went to school and gave us a background on St. Barths. We went into the shops and grabbed a quick breakfast. While in St. Barths, we stayed at Eden Rock and went to St. Jean Beach. The restaurant at Eden Rock was sooooo damn good. It was a bit expensive, but worth it. Below are some of our pics from St.Barths.

ST. MAARTEN:

We took a ferry to get to St. Maarten, which took about 25 minutes. St. Maarten is busier than Anguilla and St. Barths and there were a lot more people on this island.  While we were walking around, we were mixed in with some local kids leaving school. I know I am a mom for real because those kids were cussing up a storm and I was giving them the shocked wide eyed mom look lol.  While in St. Maarten, we ate at Bistro de la Mer in Marigot and that food was amazeballs. Drew was very impressed lol. He is something like a grilled red snapper connoisseur and he gave their snapper two thumbs up! After we ate we went to Maho Beach. The beach is right next to the airport, so you see all of the planes coming in.  Not only do you see them, they fly right over your head.  When the planes take off, the jet blasts are so powerful people standing behind them trying to take pictures have to hold on to the gate so they don’t blow away in the wind. Below are some of our pics from St. Maarten.

Swimwear Deets:

I love the swimsuits from Target for the baby because they have snaps on the bottom.  It makes is so much easier to put on and to change the baby’s swim diaper or to let her air it out after being in the water for a while lol. She definitely was out there airing it out! Gap swimsuits for baby girls do not have the snaps. You have to take the entire suit off.
