Ever since we gave AnnDrew her first bath, we’ve bathed her with Shea Moisture’s Olive & Marula Baby Head To Toe Wash & Shampoo. It smells amazing and is gentle on her skin. When I was pregnant, I was warned to not use Johnson & Johnson products due to them causing cancer. I heard great reviews on the Shea Moisture baby wash, so we were excited to give it a try. When the water gets in her eyes, it does not burn them.
After the bath, we moisturize her with organic coconut oil. You can purchase this at any drug store and most grocery stores. Coconut oil is excellent massage oil that acts as an effective moisturizer on all types of skin, including dry skin. Unlike mineral oil, there is no chance of having any adverse side effects on the skin from the application of coconut oil. Therefore, it is a safe solution for preventing dryness and flaking of skin. It also delays the appearance of wrinkles and sagging of skin, which normally accompany aging.
It helps in preventing degenerative diseases premature aging due to its well-known antioxidant properties. It also helps in treating various skin problems including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin infections. For that exact reason, coconut oil forms the base ingredient of various body care products like soaps, lotions, and creams that are used for skin care.
[blockquote] To date, there are over 1,500 studies proving coconut oil to be one of the healthiest foods on the planet. Coconut oil benefits and uses go beyond what most people realize. [/blockquote]
I actually like this product. Did your daughter have baby acne? My son currently has that now sigh and I don’t want to put anything on his face. Do you use coconut oil on Drew’s face as well?

I love coconut oil for everything. Aww it’s ok! It’s temporary and his face will be clear before you know it. She didn’t have baby acne. She only had a few bumps on her chin that she had for about 2 weeks after birth. Our midwife suggest using coconut oil on them. I do use coconut oil on her face. Not a heavy amount. Just a light layer after we wash her face and give her a bath.
Thank you… I hate it lol
