Snow days are always super fun and exciting for the kids. Snowball fights, building snowmen and making snow angels are the ingredients for perfect winter snow days. While we may love for our kids to go outdoors in the winter and have a great time, we need to make sure that they are dressed warm enough. If their outdoor gear can be stylish and warm, that’s always a plus. 😉

I am a big fan of bundling kids. I will make sure my kids have on layers on layers on layers lol. I would rather them look crazy then be out here cold and getting sick.

A few people asked me where I got my daughters snowsuits from. A lot of True’s nice pieces are hand me downs from big sis. She has two snowsuits that I saved – a Stella McCartney snowsuit and a fleece snowsuit from The Gap. I am going to share 5 of my go-to’s for warm children’s clothing for the winter.

Let me know where you shop for warm kids clothing in the comments.

Stella McCartney:

They carry a nice assortment of children’s snowsuits. I love the one we have because it is really cute but more importantly – super warm. It has a lot of different layers, which all serve their own purpose. It comes with detachable mittens and a hood.

Reima:

Reima makes some amazing winter gear that lasts. If you’re looking for a toddler snowsuit that will go the long haul, check out the brand’s award-winning Stavanger.

It’s built for all types of winter weather, comes with an awesome faux fur-lined hood, and is easy to put on and take off. And for those who are into style, it has a timeless design.

Columbia:

Columbia has a great feature on much of its outdoor kidswear called “Outgrown.” When your little one grows and the garment legs become too short, all you have to do is undo the bottom stitching, and voila — you have another season of playing! Bang for your buck! These Adventure bibs are super durable and very comfortable.

Northface:

A classic while I was growing up. I had a Northface bubble coat and a backpack. This versatile two-for-one jacket has everything your little one needs to tackle the winter days no matter how cold or warm it is outside. For those ultra-cold days, the full jacket creates a bombproof barrier with its zip-in fleece and waterproof outer shell.

And for when the sun comes out and it gets too hot, it’s super easy to either wear it as just a fleece or just a shell. So you’re basically getting two for the price of one.

Gap:

You can never go wrong with anything from the Gap. AnnDrew has matching snowpants, fur lined hooded jacket and the hat. They definitely keep her warm. Gap carries all different types of styles depending on what you are looking for.
